B01 — The Time It Takes

B01 was made in collaboration with craftsmen who have worked in the watch industry since the 1980s.

Men more familiar with the movement of watch hands than digital displays.
Men who would rather repair a watch than replace it.

With time, things change.
We chose 316L stainless steel for its durability, and for its ability to withstand the demands of everyday use.

For these craftsmen, making was never about reaching an outcome quickly. Every stage had its purpose. Every decision was guided by standards shaped through decades of experience.

In an era that values speed above all else, we chose to give each stage the time it required. The brushed finish was developed through successive stages. Each link was assembled by hand, one at a time.

At times, it took time to understand why they insisted on doing things a certain way. But as we followed their process, we began to understand.

Those who work with time understand the time it takes to make something well.

We carried the standards they had upheld for decades into the making of B01.
